Cement Manufacturing Process Flow Chart

Cement manufacturing process is mainly divided into three stages, namely, raw meal preparation, clinker burning and cement grinding.

Generally speaking, the cement industry production is Portland cement. Portland cement is a kind of delicate, usually gray powder, which consists of calcium (from limestone), silicate, aluminate and ferrite(clay). Mentioned cement production people will say "two grinding burn",that means cement production process mainly includes three stages: raw meal preparation, clinker burning and cement grinding.   • 1.Crushing And Preblending

    (1)Crushing: In the cement manufacturing process, most material must be broken, such as limestone, iron ore, clay and coal etc. Limestone is the main raw material for cement production, each producing a ton of clinker needs about 1.3 tons of limestone, more than 80% of raw material is limestone. Most of the factories are located in the vicinity of limestone quarry, in order to reduce the transportation cost.

    (2)Preblending: After broken the raw material, useing the material piling machine for preblending and layered stack, and then by the scraper reclaimer picking. The removed material by belt conveyor to send to ingredients station and other place.

  • 2. Preparation Of Raw Material

    In the cement manufacturing process, each producing 1 tons of cement grinding material at least 3 tons (including fuel, clinker, gypsum, mixture and all kinds of raw materials), according to statistics, dry process cement production line grinding operation requires more than the consumption of power plant power accounts for about 60%, the raw material grinding accounted for more than 30%, coal mill about 3%, accounting for about 40% of cement grinding. Therefore, rational selection of grinding equipment and processes, optimization of process parameters, the correct operation, control system, to ensure product quality, reduce the energy consumption is of great significance

  • 3.Raw Material Homogenization

    The stability of raw material composition is the premise of clinker burning system. Raw meal homogenizing system stabilizes the raw ingredients into the cellar of the final control action.

  • 4.Preheating And Precalcining

    Use the preheater to complete raw material preheating and decomposition, instead of the rotary kiln, to shorten the back length, at the same time to make stove gas material heat accumulation state, the gas increases the contact area, heat transfer speed, high heat exchange efficiency, improve production efficiency, reduce the clinker calcining kiln system heat loss.

  • 5.Burning Cement Clinker

    In the rotary kiln carbonate further rapid decomposition and solid state reaction series, produced in cement clinker mineral. Burning cement clinker in rotary kiln is the key step of the production, it will directly affect the quality of the cement clinker.

  • 6.Cement Grinding

    Cement grinding is the final process of cement manufacture, but also the most power hungry process. Its main function is to cement clinker (and gelling agent, performance adjustment material etc.) grinding to appropriate particle size (such as fineness, specific surface area) o form a certain grain size distribution, increase its hydration area, accelerate the hydration speed and satisfies the requirement of setting and hardening cement paste.

  • 7.Cement Packing And Storage

    The cement has two kinds of delivery way: bagged and bulk.
